Welcome To BigFatNoNo v0.1
BigFatNoNo [working title] is an experiment / proof of concept for a hybrid web desktop / social network. The aim is to replicate as closely as possible the desktop experience with which all computer users are now familiar.
As such I hope that there will not be anything too challenging in this version that would necessitate any kind of in-depth help files or tutorials, since I don’t have time to write them.
Just a few notes and caveats on this early version:
1) You will find plenty of stuff that ‘just doesn’t work’ in this incarnation
2) When stuff doesn’t work you will probably not get any feedback – it will just fail silently for the time being.
3) As a guest user you can try uploading files but there is a 2Mb limit. Changes will not be saved to the file system.
4) Just about everything here is in a development state. This means that things such as folders, for example, do not have resize handles yet. These are slated to be included in the near future but for now, in the interests of having something to show they don’t exist. The important thing for me at the moment is that these things are robust and functional in their current bare-bones state.
I will be updating the application continually over the next few months, if you want to stay informed of changes please drop me a line (I will hopefully be implementing a notification system in the next release)
